We Can Help
Civil litigation is the area of law encompassing claims against a party or parties for monetary damages. These damages are financial and emotional losses that result from injuries for which you deserve to be compensated. The injuries include falls, dog bites, bicycle accidents, car accidents as well as different types of injuries, such as from a breach of contract. I know the tremendous impact experiencing an injury can have on the victim and his or her loved ones. There is the stress of loss of income, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and medical bills in the cases of physical injury. Understanding all of this, I work very hard to obtain the very best recovery I can for each of my clients.
I am experienced with the preparation of contracts as well as representing clients in breach of contract litigation. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for parties to a contract to end up in bitter disputes. Some disputes result from misunderstandings of the actual terms of a contract. A carefully drafted agreement can usually avoid these situations. However, more often one party fails or refuses to perform his or her obligations under the contract. Whether you are the party being accused of not performing obligations or the party demanding performance, you need to seek legal advice and assistance. There are time limits and procedures you must follow to obtain the remedies you seek.
I have assisted clients with personal injury claims resulting from many different types of causes, including dog bites, car and biking accidents, and falls. Personal injury cases pose serious consequences for the victims. For example, when someone falls in a parking lot or an apartment building due to hazardous conditions , is hurt in a car accident, or suffers physical injuries from other kinds of accidents, he or she should be compensated for all of the resulting harm. These injuries can mean enduring physical pain and discomfort, losing income from being unable to work, health care costs, the stress of being limited from regular activity, and the emotional distress of the entire ordeal.
When facing a legal problem, you want a qualified and experienced attorney assisting you. As importantly, you want someone you feel that you trust and are comfortable working with. I offer my clients over twenty-two years of legal service in which I have been successful in negotiation and litigation. I will handle your case personally and with the compassion that extends from my recognition of the difficulties, both personally and financially, that my clients face, particularly for those unfamiliar with the legal system. I will work with you to strategize your case and I will take care to keep you updated with information and make sure to carefully explain the process as we proceed.

Additional Practice Areas
When you decide to call a family law attorney for advice, typically your personal circumstances are extremely difficult, usually emotionally charged, and stressful. The unknowns about what will happen regarding children, finances, and how to divide property can be frightening. The types of problems that lead you to make this call for help can be effecting you, your children if you have any, your extended family and friends, and even your employer.
Probate includes drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health directives and all of the documents required for each of us contemplating what we want to have happen when we die and when we become critically ill. A “Dying Request” is also now part of the probate practice, which allows for the legal right to die. That legislation became effective as of June 2016.
